New Leadership for Grant Thornton

The sixth-largest accounting firm has chosen a new chief.

Stephen Chipman will be the next CEO of Grant Thornton LLP, succeeding Edward Nusbaum on Jan. 1, 2010, according to an announcement from the company.

Chipman was most recently CEO of Greater China Management Corporation, responsible for leading the development and growth of services for Grant Thornton in China. A member of Grant Thornton for 28 years, Chipman has held a number of key executive leadership positions, according to the company.
