Welcome at the FAF, Welcome Back at the FASB

The Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF), the independent, private sector body that appoints members of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) has named three new members to its board of trustees:

 
  • Paul G. Camell, MBA, executive vice president of mergers & acquisitions and chief administrative officer for CDM, a global consulting, engineering, construction, and operations firm.
  • Dan Ebersole, state treasurer for the state of Georgia from 1997 to 2010 and member of the Governmental Accounting Standards Advisory Council (GASAC) from 2003 to 2010.
  • Michelle R. Seitz, CFA, member of the Executive Committee of William Blair & Company LLC, a global investment firm.
 
Their five-year terms start Jan. 1.
 
The FAF also has reappointed two FASB board members, Russell G. Golden and Lawrence W. Smith, to their second five-terms. Before joining the board, Golden was technical director of the FASB and previous to that was a partner at Deloitte & Touche. Smith had been a partner at KPMG.
 
Both start their new terms on July 1, 2012.
