Leadership Conference highlights different leadership styles
What makes a great leader and what qualities do successful leaders posses? These and other questions were under discussion at the NYSSCPA's 11th Annual Leadership Conference in July in Verona, N.Y., where more than 130 Society leaders and members gathered for three days of sessions intended to provide guidance to the next crop of Society leaders and introduce them to the responsibilities of their new positions.
Cross-border practice mobility has come to New York. Governor Andrew M. Cuomo on Aug. 17, signed into law S2628-A, which allows for cross-border practice mobility for out-of-state CPAs as long as the CPA’s home state is deemed by New York to have licensing requirements that are “substantially equivalent” to those in New York.
