  • Who Are We

The Higher Education Committee acts as a liaison between the Society, Practitioners, Colleges which prepare students for careers in accounting and the New York State Education Department.

    What We Do

The committee serves its constituents by (1) providing a forum for the discussion of curricular and professional issues in accounting education, and (2) making recommendations for change to the Society's leadership.

    Who Should Join

Practitioners and educators with an interest in helping to evaluate the standards for entrance into the profession.

    Benefits of Committee Membership

Membership on the Higher Education Committee will put members in a unique position to promote interaction between educators and practitioners and shape the future of accounting education through functions such as the Committee's Annual Higher Education Conference.
