February 1999 Issue Nominating Committee Proposes New Officers and Directors The NYSSCPA Nominating Committee, chaired by Past President Andrew Capelli, recently announced its nominations for new Society officers and directors for the 19992000 term beginning June 1. The committee proposes the following officers: P. Gerard Sokolski for president-elect; Frank J. Aquilino, Nadine Gordon Lee, Nancy Newman-Limata, and Harold F. Soshnick for vice presidents; Jo Ann Golden for secretary; and Ronald Benjamin for treasurer. To fill opening positions on the Society's board of directors, the committee recommended Marshall C. Asche, David H. Gerson, Frank L. Kurre, Stephen F. Langowski, Carol C. Lapidus, and Ian M. Nelson as directors-at-large with three-year terms; and Thomas O. Linder (Nassau), Kevin J. Monacelli (Rochester), Thomas J. Novak (Suffolk), and Raynard Zollo (Staten Island) as chapter representatives with three-year terms. Current President-Elect Alan E. Weiner will automatically become president for the 19992000 term, and President George T. Foundotos becomes a director-at-large with a one-year term. Society members will receive a ballot in the mail shortly to vote for all other officers and directors. Installations will take place at the Annual Election Meeting & Dinner on May 13 at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers. *
