March 2002 Website
of the Month With more than 23,000 members in over 100 countries, the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) is considered a leader in information technology (IT) governance, control and assurance. Founded in 1969, ISACA sponsors international conferences, administers the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation held by more than 26,000 professionals worldwide, and develops globally applicable information systems auditing and control standards. ISACAs affiliated foundation undertakes the research in support of the profession. ISACAs New York Metropolitan Chapter holds daylong workshops once a month, an annual managers round-table meeting and a series of seminars on timely technical topics. Several meetings are held together with local chapters of other associations, such as the Institute of Internal Auditors and the Information Systems Security Association. In addition, meetings have been extended to the suburban areas of Long Island and Westchester to accomodate those members who are unable to attend regularly scheduled chapter activities in New York City. The chapter also publishes a quarterly newsletter. For more information about ISACA, visit the associations website or its New York chapter website. |
