May 1999 Issue BMW Signs on as Affinity Partner By Ed Parker Members can receive discounts on BMW cars and motorcycles thanks to a new NYSSCPA affinity partnership. Allowances are based on the purchase or lease of a new or certified preowned BMW automobile or the purchase of a new BMW motorcycle through an authorized BMW center. The allowances members receive for each BMW are as follows: Z3 roadster/Z3 coupe $500 M3 coupe/M3 convertible $1,000 M roadster $500 528 i $1,000 323 i $500 540 i $1,500 328 i $1,000 7 Series $1,500 For certified preowned automobiles, members will receive an association allowance of $500. They also are eligible for a $300 or $500 allowance on motorcycles, based on the purchase price. This offer is not available in conjunction with other special purchase programs. Society members can take advantage of these savings by following three steps: 1) get an information brochure via the nysscpa.org website, 2) visit a BMW center and negotiate the best price, 3) upon purchase or lease, submit paperwork to BMW of North America, Corporate Sales Program, 300 Chestnut Ridge Road, Woodcliff Lake, NJ 07675 within 60 days of delivery. The paperwork consists of a completed check request form, proof of purchase, and proof of employment. Members also should include a note that indicates their NYSSCPA affiliation. Once approved, BMW will send a check by mail within four to six weeks. Financing is available through BMW Financial Services or the financial institution of the member's choice. Approval for financing is based on the applicant's credit.
