Committee Action Plan

Who We Are

The International Taxation Committee serves as a resource to NYSSCPA members regarding cross border tax issues.

What We Do

The Committee provides the following technical, educational and networking activities:

  • Addresses technical questions from NYSSCPA members Monitors Federal and State legislation and rules relating to cross border tax issues including reporting obligations.
  • Conducts educational conferences/technical sessions.
  • Provides a format for commenting on pending tax laws and regulations affecting cross border tax issues.
  • Affords networking opportunities at Committee meetings and conferences.
  • Disseminates information through articles in the “CPA Journal and “The Trusted Professional” and other media.
  • Affords its members the opportunity to write articles and to lecture as well as share ideas with other practitioners.

Who Should Join

All categories of NYSSCPA members who have either expertise in or who have a desire to increase their knowledge of international taxation. By joining, you are afforded the opportunity to grow in knowledge in the international tax area and to test your knowledge in a non-threatening atmosphere. You will also be afforded the opportunity to become known to your fellow practitioners and to get to be known to others who are interested in international tax considerations from large firms to sole practitioners.
