Who we are
We are members of the Society who work in or are interested in the area of
taxation of financial instruments and transactions.
What we do
- Review and discuss the tax implications of new and existing financial
products that would include debt, equity, and derivative securities.
- Examine developments as they affect taxation of financial products such as
legislative, regulatory and administrative developments and judicial cases.
- Conduct an annual seminar with hedge fund community.
- Address technical questions from NYSSCPA members.
- Liaison with government agencies.
- Monitor legislation related to financial products.
- Conduct one educational conference per year at the intermediate/advanced
level.
- Conduct evening technical sessions.
- Write articles for The CPA Journal and The Trusted Professional.
- Keep informed about current developments in the area of taxation of
financial instruments and transactions.
