Serves as OIA’s FOIA SME primarily responsible for ensuring OIA remains compliant with 5 U.S.C. §552, The Freedom of Information Act. The FOIA function also serves as a central hub for various classified and unclassified consultations for the entirety of TFI. Other responsibilities include managing the OIA/OFAC Delisting processes, building and maintaining relationships within TFI and partner agencies to ensure timely processing, serving as SME on OIA litigation cases that require classified review, and serves as the final reviewer on all cases and requests to ensure accuracy, completeness while checking that OIA is compliant with the various statutes. Conducts quality assurance on all products prior to their release to the requestor. Processes all OIA’s public disclosure requests from beginning to end. Additionally, mentors members of the Public Disclosures team on day-to-day operations and best practices.
