Larry Slusser is a seasoned cybersecurity executive with experience in incident response, digital forensics, ransomware negotiation, and cyber resiliency services. His expertise spans leading investigations into hundreds of cyber incidents including business email compromises, account take overs, ransomware attacks and supply chain attacks. He is the Vice President of Solutions at Cytactic where he integrates client cyber resilience programs with the incident response plans and processes facilitating tabletop exercises and consulting in times of cyber crises. Slusser holds a Master of Science in Cyber Security and frequently contributes to industry discussions on topics like CISO strategies for incident response resilience and supply chain attack path hardening.
In this session, experienced cyber incident first responder Larry Slusser will share common control gaps found in many different departments of organizations that lead to cyber incidents. Team members in non-cyber functions can follow their policies and still find their organizations facing the very real consequences of a Business Email Compromise or a full-on cyber attack. Including examples of how AI has changed the playing field, Larry will share frontline experiences from the cyber war and emphasize that the entire organization, not just the "cyber team," must participate to win the cyber battle each organization faces.
