FY27 is Here – Welcome to a New Year with the Manhattan/Bronx Chapter!
Dear Manhattan/Bronx Chapter Members,
Welcome to FY27! June 1 marks the start of another exciting year at the NYCPA — bringing new opportunities, new relationships, and new adventures.
First, I’d like to highlight some of what our Chapter accomplished last year thanks to the dedication and hard work of the FY26 Chapter Board and our NextGen Committee:
- Hosted 16 CPE events covering a wide range of topics including Elder Care, AI, Retirement Planning, Supply Chain, Sales Tax, Workers Compensation, QuickBooks, and more
- Planned 5 social events, including 2 charity-focused events
- Supported 2 students through the Chapter’s Ted Wilson Scholarship as they pursue their path to becoming CPAs
- Connected with more than 100 high school students to educate them about the CPA profession and the many opportunities it provides
We hope you were able to attend or participate in at least one of these events and initiatives.
And we’re not done yet! We’re already looking forward to another great year of programming, networking, and connecting with as many members as possible.
We currently have several exciting events planned, including:
- 6/10/2026 – Planning Considerations for NY’s New Medicaid Eligibility for Long-Term Care
- 6/11/2026 – Let’s Celebrate! Manhattan/Bronx Chapter 25th Anniversary
- 6/24/2026 – Drafting an Effective Power of Attorney
And there’s even more to come — including a Picnic in the Park this August!
As we begin shaping our goals for FY27, we’d love to hear from you. If you have ideas, suggestions, or feedback, please don’t hesitate to reach out and share them. We are also always looking for volunteers to help with events or to get involved with the Chapter Board or committees.
Finally, please make sure you are receiving our monthly Chapter Digest emails. To ensure delivery, add manhattan/bronxchapter@nysscpa.org to your whitelist/safelist. If you are still not receiving them after doing so, please contact the NYCPA offices so they can assist you in getting back on the distribution list.
We look forward to another fantastic year together!
Warm regards,
Barbara A. Marino, CPA
