What we do:

The mission of the New York State, Multistate, and Local Taxation committee of the NYCPA is to be the leader in this area of taxation through the following:

  • Fostering a relationship with the Commissioners and officials of the various Tax Departments and maintaining open lines of communications with them.
  • Provide technical assistance and disseminate information to the members of the NYCPA through:
    • Education programs including the Annual Seminar and Technical Sessions
    • Answering questions of our members by telephone or over the website
    • Writing articles on current events for The CPA Journal and The Trusted Professional
  • Propose and review legislative and regulatory changes in the current tax laws and procedures to simplify state, city, and local taxation.
