Auditing Standards Conference Webcast Part 1

Ahava Goldman is an Associate Director with the Audit and Attest Standards team at the AICPA. Ahava is the staff liaison for the AICPA Auditing Standards Board and supports their standard-setting activities. Ms. Goldman served as a Technical Advisor on the International Audit and Attest Standards Board from 2015-2019. She has presented on auditing standards at conferences in 40 states and the District of Columbia. Previously, Ms. Goldman was a senior manager on the AICPA Examinations Team where she was responsible for the content and development of all sections of the Uniform CPA Examination. Before joining the AICPA, she worked in public accounting at both local and national firms. She graduated magna cum laude from Stern College of Yeshiva University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Howard B. Levy, CPA, is now retired from a 53-year career in public accounting. Until 1990, he served for seven years as the accounting and auditing quality control partner of a large, international firm of CPAs and subsequently served in a similar capacity for 25 years for a regional CPA firm. He continues to provide technical and other consulting services to CPAs, other professionals, businesses and not-for-profit organizations around the nation. Howard currently serves on the Auditing Standards Committee of the New York State Society of CPAs and on the Editorial Board of its prestigious monthly publication, The CPA Journal, for which he frequently authors technical articles. He is a former member of two of the most senior professional standards-setting bodies of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), its Accounting Standards Executive Committee (predecessor to its current Financial Reporting Executive Committee) and its Auditing Standards Board and served for several years as a member of the Smaller Firms Task Force of the AICPA’s Center for Audit Quality.

Jonathan Zuckerman, CPA, is a Partner based in the Firm’s New York-Midtown office. He has more than fifteen years’ experience in public accounting specializing in providing accounting and auditing services in various industries including public and privately held commercial clients, real estate investment trusts, not-for-profit organizations, investment companies, and hospitality clients. Jonathan has been involved in a number of group audits for various international clients. He has also worked with independent member firms of PKF International Limited in connection with assignments that addressed IFRS, International Audit, US GAAP and US GAAS issues. Jonathan has also been an instructor in the Firm’s in-house continuing professional education program and is involved in the Firm’s on-campus recruiting program.

Julian E. Jacoby, CPA, MBA, is Retired, but remains active in the profession. Previously, he served in several capacities at Crowe Horwath International, an international network, including Accounting and Assurance Director for 14 years. He was a Regional Technical Partner in a national accounting firm for 15 years, and also served clients in a practice capacity for many years.
